Student answer (Band 6.0)
Individuals in many countries are giving preference to hire personal gym trainer rather than playing sports or doing any other physical activity. People targeting single body part and lack of diet and bodybuilding knowledge are the mains reasons behind this change. I believe it is a positive development, however sports should not be completely neglected.
One of the main reason, people prefer training under personal trainer is to work on their body for some kind of intention. The personal trainer help them to focus on their body according to the their shape and hardwork needed. For instance, bodybuilders participating in different bodybuilding competetions hire trainer to tailor their body according to their requirements. As a result, their aim of doing hardwork on their body is accomplished if they win the competition.
Furthurmore, individuals do not have proper knowledge and awareness regarding the nutritions they need in their diet. Improper guidance and advice leads to the negative or unwanted results on the individual's health. For example, gym trainers are trained well while they study for their training certificate on how to manage diet according to individual's body.
Consequently, one who wants to focus on loosing or gaining weight get diet plan accordingly.
On the other hand, sports is also a important part of people's lifestyle. Playing any kind of sports help to learn team work and decision making skills which are very necessry for the overall growth of humanbeing.
In conclusion, although hiring personal trainer is a positivie development to focus on particular intention and to provide information about balanced diet, sports should also be included in daily routine to help in learning extra skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you consider personal training positive, while arguing that sports should remain part of people’s lives. You address both questions by giving two reasons—individualised body goals and limited knowledge of nutrition—and support them with examples about bodybuilders and tailored diet plans. However, the explanation of why people are increasingly choosing trainers could be more fully developed: the bodybuilding example focuses on competitors and does not show how this trend applies to ordinary people. The point about sports is relevant, but it is brief and its benefits are not connected in detail to your overall evaluation. Explain more explicitly why personal training is beneficial overall and how it can complement, rather than replace, sports.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs explaining reasons, a paragraph about sports, and a conclusion. The progression is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help show how the ideas relate. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some stronger control through purposeful paragraphing and a consistent line of argument. To make the flow more flexible, avoid relying mainly on explicit transition phrases and strengthen links between claims and examples. For instance, after the bodybuilding example, explain how individualised guidance benefits people with different goals. The sports paragraph could also connect more directly to the claim that personal training should not replace other forms of exercise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “personal trainer,” “bodybuilders,” “diet plan,” “team work,” and “decision making skills.” Some less common expressions, such as “tailor their body” and “balanced diet,” show an attempt to express specific ideas. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, as in “giving preference to hire,” “targeting single body part,” and “the nutritions they need.” Spelling errors such as “competetions,” “Furthurmore,” and “necessry” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they limit precision and naturalness. Learn common word partnerships and check spelling and word forms carefully when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast in “although hiring personal trainer is a positivie development…” and a conditional clause beginning “if they win the competition.” The overall meaning is generally clear, but some errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction remain. For example, “The personal trainer help them” needs subject–verb agreement, while “sports is also a important part” has errors with agreement and the article. In “One of the main reason, people prefer training…” the opening phrase is not grammatically connected to the rest of the sentence. Aim to produce more consistently accurate sentences, especially when using longer structures, and check singular/plural forms and articles during revision.
