Student answer (Band 6.0)

In some countries, many people are paying for fitness coach instead of playing games and engaging in exercise classes. People hire physical coach because they get flexibility in schedule and instant results. I belive that this trend has positive development as people receive expert guidance and longer term health benefit.

To begin with, there are two main reasons for this change. Firstly, people with busy schedules prefer the flexibility of one-to-one training. For example, a person who is busy during the day in office, possibly continue his workout at night or evening even if the gyms remain close down. As a result, people would never miss exercise and improve their health. Moreover, some people does not wait long time to be physically fit. People who are willing to see changes in their body quickly , believes in physical coach than playing sports and follow their instructions.

I believe this trend is positive. This is because personal fitness trainer provides proper guidance. They make a healthy diet plan for their clients and tell them which exercise benefits them. Thus, when an individual sticks to particualr diet they keep themselves away from processed food. Not only this, but physical coach also save their clients from getting inhury while they are using heavy exercise equipments. In addition to this, physical trainers benefits people by improving their health for longer time. They keep on motivating their clients and provide them feedback regularly regarding their health.

To conclude, people hire physical trainers mainly because of physical schedule and to get fast results. I believe that this trend benefits people as they are being motivated regularly and alter their food habits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for hiring trainers—flexible scheduling and the desire for quick results—and clearly state that you see this as positive. The benefits of expert guidance, diet advice, injury prevention and motivation are relevant, and the office-worker example helps illustrate flexibility. This meets the task well, but the reasons and benefits are not equally developed. The claim that trainers produce “instant results” is not explained or supported, and the point about longer-term health benefits is asserted rather than demonstrated. To strengthen the response, explain why individual training may lead to faster progress and add a specific example showing how guidance or motivation improves health over time. Your position is clear throughout, though some supporting ideas need fuller development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining reasons, a paragraph supporting your opinion, and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress logically, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” “Thus” and “In addition to this” help the reader follow the argument. The conclusion also returns to the main reasons and your positive view. Cohesion is not always smooth, however: the opening “To begin with, there are two main reasons” is followed by points that could be linked more explicitly, and the final paragraph repeats ideas from the body without adding a concise synthesis. Some transitions feel formulaic. Use referencing and linking more flexibly, and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “one-to-one training,” “proper guidance,” “processed food,” “motivating” and “feedback.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range and control are uneven. Several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “physical coach,” “physical schedule,” “fast results” and “benefits people by improving their health for longer time.” There are also spelling errors, including “belive,” “particualr” and “inhury,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural collocations and vary repeated references to trainers and benefits. For example, use “personal trainer” consistently and describe outcomes as “make progress more quickly” or “support long-term health.” Proofreading would help you avoid spelling slips.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example (“even if the gyms remain close down”) and the emphatic structure “Not only this, but…”. Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction persist. For example, “some people does not wait” should use a plural verb, while “people … believes” also has incorrect agreement. In “a person … possibly continue,” the verb form is incomplete, and “gyms remain close down” combines incompatible structures. There are also punctuation and spacing issues, such as “To begin with, there.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building clauses accurately, especially when using examples and subordinate clauses.
