Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: identifying the course, explaining the reason for cancellation, and inquiring about alternative options. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to an administrator. The purpose of the letter is clear from the beginning, and the ideas are developed sufficiently to meet the requirements of the task. To reach a higher band, ensure that your explanation of the situation is slightly more polished and free of minor errors that occasionally distract from the professional tone.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. You have used basic cohesive devices such as 'Unfortunately', 'As a result', and 'I would also like to know' to guide the reader through your request. The progression of ideas is easy to follow. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your referencing is consistent. The transition between the explanation of your job and the request for a new course is smooth and effective.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'career opportunity', 'assistance', and 'inconvenience'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'trasfer', 'inonven-ience', 'decida') and some awkward phrasing like 'effer accept'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they do limit the score. To improve, focus on proofreading your work for common spelling mistakes and ensure that your word choices are precise and correctly collocated.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I umm writing', 'which is start to Next Month', and 'my work timing is Not match'. These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text. While the meaning remains clear, the lack of control over basic verb tenses and subject-verb agreement prevents a higher score. Focus on reviewing basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors in tense and word form.
