Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 8.5

The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly identify the course ('Introduction to AI technologies'), explain the reasons for cancellation (work schedule changes and new project responsibilities), and inquire about alternative options (future dates or online weekend formats). The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to an administrator. All parts of the task are covered well, and the purpose of the letter is clear from the outset. No information is missing, and the response is well-focused on the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 8.0

The letter is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. Each paragraph serves a distinct purpose, moving from the notification of cancellation to the explanation and finally the inquiry. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'However', and 'Furthermore' to link your points effectively. While some transitions are slightly mechanical, the overall flow is smooth and easy to follow. The paragraphing is appropriate for a formal letter, and the referencing is clear throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'enrolled', 'regretful decision', and 'contradict'. There are some minor collocation issues, such as 'organized for next year of month January' and 'attention on this matter', which sound slightly unnatural. However, these errors do not impede communication and the meaning remains clear. To reach a higher band, focus on more precise collocations and idiomatic expressions suitable for formal correspondence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'is suppose to begin' (should be 'is supposed to begin'), 'made me to took' (should be 'made me take'), and 'timing of work is contradict' (should be 'conflicts with'). Despite these errors, the message is consistently clear. The punctuation is generally accurate, and the formal structure of the letter is well-maintained. Increasing the accuracy of verb forms and prepositions would help improve this score.
