IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently booked a part-time course at a college. You now need to cancel your booking.

Write a letter to the college administrator. In your letter:

• say which part-time course you booked
• explain why you need to cancel your booking
• ask about booking a different course

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Respected Sir,

I am writing this letter regarding cancelation of the crash course I have booked two weeks ago for Payroll and Accounting technician. It is an offline course which I personally believed to be beneficial for better understanding; however owing to my work commitments, it will be a daunting task to attend regularly.

My work schedule has been recently switched from hybrid to full-time in-person work. By the effect of launching new software in organization, management decided to perform extra work and dedicated overtime. Consequently, being present for classes seems to be a challenge for me.

I, therefore, decided to enroll in online classes on weekends in which still few seats are vacant. As I have already submitted the fees, kindly swap my registration for online sessions. I hope you will understand my situation and accept my request.
