You recently booked a part-time course at a college. You now need to cancel your booking.

Write a letter to the college administrator. In your letter:

• say which part-time course you booked
• explain why you need to cancel your booking
• ask about booking a different course

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to cancel the booking of my upcoming GEOL 112 course at your college. Due to a miscommunication with my program advisor, I accidentally took a wrong course.

During my course planning time period, I talked to my program advisor to get some suggestions about the course line up for my upcoming semester. While she asked me to get enroll in GEOL 114, I mistakenly registered for GEOL 112 instead. The misunderstanding arose because both of these courses are almost identical and are part-time.

Since, GEOL 112 is not in my academic courses list, doing it is not only time consuming but is also wastage of money. What's more, I have talked to my instructor about the matter and he also suggested me to drop the course as soon as possible to leave the slot vacant for the student who is in the waitlist. Therefore, I want to cancel the booking as soon as possible.

Having said it already that I need GEOL 114, I also want to ask your assistance in getting a seat in the course so that I can complete my academic requirement in the next fall semester. Furthermore, my study permit is only valid for 5 months now, I might be able to finish my study in the time limit, if you could help me.
