Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover all three required points: you identify the business administration course, explain that changes to your work schedule prevent attendance, and ask about other part-time options and transferring your fees. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the apology and request for course details are relevant. The explanation of your circumstances is understandable but brief, and the request for another course could be more specific—for example, you could state what days or times would suit you. The fee-transfer question is a useful additional detail. To strengthen the letter further, develop the reason and make the alternative-course request more precise while maintaining the appropriate formal tone.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a recognisable progression: cancellation, explanation, interest in another course, and a question about fees. Paragraph breaks help separate these purposes, and linking words such as “However” show the shift from cancelling to seeking another option. Some connections are less smooth, however: the sentence beginning “so i beleving” is difficult to follow, and the fee-transfer question is placed in a separate line without a clear link to the request for course information. The closing also feels abrupt. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect related requests in the same paragraph; this would make the organisation more consistently easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “working schedule,” “part-time course,” “booking,” and “fees,” so the reader can identify your main requests. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less fluent, such as “adminstrative,” “Unfortunatly,” “inconvience,” and “interseted.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “communicate with my other priorites” and “fees can be transferable.” Choose standard collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, say that work commitments conflict with the course, ask whether fees can be transferred, and request details of available courses and schedules.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “due to changes in my working schedule” and a request joined with “and.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the message. Examples include “im writing to inform that,” “i beleving that i need to cancel,” and “i really sorry,” where sentence structure or verb forms are incomplete or incorrect. Capitalisation and punctuation are also unreliable, with several sentences lacking clear boundaries. Practise complete clauses with a subject and correctly formed verb—for example, “I am writing to inform you that…”—and use full stops to separate each request.
