Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover all three required points: you identify the computer course, explain that changed office hours and workload prevent attendance, and ask about enrolling in an online or weekend course. The specific start date, duration and student ID also make the request practical. This meets the task well, though some details are less fully developed: the reason for cancellation is repeated in several forms, while your request for a different course could be clearer about whether you want online study, a weekend class, or both. The greeting also differs from the required opening, “Dear Sir or Madam,” and “Respected sir” is less suitable for this formal letter. Clarifying the preferred format and using the requested salutation would strengthen the response further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it introduces the booking, explains the cancellation, makes a new-course request, and closes politely. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages. However, progression within the cancellation paragraph is somewhat repetitive: “I am unable to attend classes” and “I will not be able to continue my regularly classes” express nearly the same point. The opening paragraph also gives course details in a list-like sequence, which could be connected more smoothly. Use linking and reference more selectively—for example, state the changed work schedule once, then connect it directly to the cancellation request. This would make cohesion less mechanical while preserving the clear structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “part-time,” “booking,” “office timings,” “enroll,” and “weekend batch,” so your meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific course language, such as “digital market” and “project management.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “some time issues,” “computer basic,” and “assist me to enroll.” Spelling errors such as “commance,” “sincerly,” “applogized,” and “greatful” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the message. Aim for standard formal expressions and check spelling carefully; this will make your vocabulary more precise and natural without requiring more complicated words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate the main message using a mixture of short statements and some longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand the booking and cancellation. However, there are some recurring grammatical errors. For example, “I booked” and “Now i require” need consistent capitalisation, while “Duration of this course 3 month” is missing a verb and has an incorrect singular form. The sentence “I need to cancel due to my office timings have been rescheduled” also has a faulty clause structure; use “because my office hours have been rescheduled.” Articles and prepositions need attention in “in part-time evening course” and “at college.” Practise complete sentences and accurate clause links to improve control.
