Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover all three required points: you identify the SCM course, explain that you feel it is unsuitable, and ask about Business Management, including its coursework, fees and placement options. The reason for cancelling is clear, though “I have taken wrong decision” gives little detail about what makes the course unsuitable. Your enquiry about the alternative course is more developed, with relevant questions and a reference to your friend’s experience. To make the letter more complete and purposeful, state explicitly that you would like to cancel your SCM booking and ask whether the admission fee can be refunded or transferred. The content is relevant and the reader can understand what action you want.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it moves from the existing booking, to the cancellation reason, then to questions about another course, and finally to a request for details. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and “But” signals the shift to your alternative interest. Some links are less smooth or precise, however. “I have enrolled my myself … at that time” combines ideas awkwardly, while “I got to know about it from my friend” has an unclear reference to which course “it” means. The closing also repeats the request for a response without adding much. Use clearer transitions and name the course again where needed to make the progression more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant course-related vocabulary, including “enrolled,” “coursework,” “fee structure” and “placement option,” which helps communicate the purpose of the letter. There is some range in how you describe your enquiry, but several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors reduce precision: “wrong decision” is less natural than “poor choice,” “placement option” should be plural here, and “alreading” and “eggar” are misspelled. “Really looking forward towards you response” also contains an awkward expression. Aim for accurate, natural phrases suited to a formal letter, such as “I would appreciate information about…” and “I look forward to your response.” These improvements would make your meaning more fluent and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, and most of the message remains understandable. However, some errors in verb forms, sentence construction, agreement and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “the part-time course i have booked last week” needs a past-tense form, and “I have enrolled my myself” has an incorrect construction. In “I am interest in other courses,” the adjective form is needed; “What are the placement option … provide?” also has problems with number and question structure. Capitalise “I,” and avoid spaces before question marks. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and indirect questions, for example, “Could you tell me what the coursework and fees are?” This will strengthen control while retaining your range of sentence types.
