Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover all three required points: you identify the Human Services Foundation course, explain that you are moving to Alberta to care for your sick uncle, and ask about an online alternative. The reason for cancelling is clear and relevant, and the request for information gives the letter a practical purpose. This meets the task well, with some elements more fully addressed than others: the course details are brief, and the final request does not specify whether you hope to transfer your existing booking or enrol in a new course. To strengthen the letter further, state the cancellation request explicitly and ask about suitable online options, including how to proceed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The information follows a sensible order: you introduce the booking, give background about your studies, explain the change in circumstances, and then ask about another course. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking phrases such as “Actually” and “Moreover” signal transitions. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, the sentence about completing one year at Conestoga is not clearly linked to why you booked the course at the college addressed, and “which will helps to done my course” makes the relationship between online study and your goal difficult to follow. Use clearer transitions and refer explicitly to the course or booking when needed, so the progression feels more continuous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “part-time course,” “cancel my booking,” “personal reasons,” and “take care of him.” The terms “Human Services Foundation” and “online study” also make the subject specific. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “administation,” “persue,” and “Sinerecly.” Some phrases are also unnatural for a formal letter, including “administation block” and “provide me a details.” Choose conventional administrative wording and check spelling and collocations carefully. A more precise range would help you express the cancellation and request in a polished, appropriately formal way.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example, “I want to cancel my booking now because…” and “My uncle is very sick and he need my help.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. In the latter sentence, the verb should agree with “he”; in “which will helps,” the modal “will” should be followed by the base verb. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction in “I would request to you please provide me a details,” while capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise accurate modal patterns, subject–verb agreement, and polite request structures, then proofread each sentence for punctuation and sentence boundaries.
