Student answer (Band 6.5)

In todays world of modernity, some people says that purchasig premium clothes in less number is good then buying clothes of lower prices. I partialy agree with this statemenet, In this classy both my agreement and disagreement to the above statement will be discussed along with suitable conclusion.

Supporting my agreement to the above statement, it is true that premium brands have better quality of fabrics and are more comfortable to weare then the lower quality clothes. For example brands like H&M, Zara and Nike produce high quality products with higher price range. Most of the younger generation fell there cloths more confortable and of premium quality then other localy produced. Secondly, these clothing brand offer stiching option to their customers to do alteration according to our confect levels like Raymond or Guess offers stiching option for three piece. Subsequently, the expencive cloth provides a primium look to one who wears then. I increases the the personality of a person to look better.

On the other hand people you used to wear cheaper clothes says it provide them access to range of clothes baricty in respect to fashion design, colars. For instance, the would by number of clothings in the same price as premium one item and get varition in colore. In addition to this one will never get bored from wearing same outfit. Moreover it helps one to do less repitition of clothes which is highly noticeable in the office jobs for example in job of receptionist or a manager people notice there clothing quite frequently.

In conclusion, I think selecting clothes totaly depends on individual which suites them better. Both premium and discounted cloths have there own benifits which cannot be neglected. I think aforementioned points strongly support my point of view.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument and providing a clear personal position. The ideas are relevant, such as the quality of premium brands versus the variety offered by cheaper alternatives. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of 'stitching options' is a specific but slightly tangential point that does not fully explore the economic or environmental implications of the prompt. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your reasoning with more depth, perhaps by discussing the long-term value or the 'fast fashion' phenomenon, rather than just listing features.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Supporting my agreement', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some referencing is unclear (e.g., 'In this classy' appears to be a typo for 'essay'). The concluding paragraph is a bit brief and could better synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a stronger internal logical progression would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt some topic-specific vocabulary like 'premium brands', 'fabrics', and 'fast fashion' concepts, though there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'purchasig', 'confect', 'expencive', 'colars', 'benifits'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic and topic-related words and try to incorporate more precise collocations to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('some people says', 'brands... offer stiching option') and awkward phrasing ('It increases the the personality'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices and run-on sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with correct subordinate clauses.
