Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some expects believe that buying a few branded garments will be more beneficial in various way rather than spending on bulk of low quality cloths. I understand that purchasing little branded cloths might help in the long run but I personally subscribe to buy more low quality products due to umpteen reasons, which will be elucidated in the below paragraphs in more specifically.
On the effulgence side, the primary reason to support my view point regarding buying more unbranded cloths because of the various colour options available. This propensity enable one to satisfy the variety in patten and designs. Moreover, people will have colossal options to wear and flaunt in front of their relatives and peers. For example, there are various local markets in all big urban area which gives numerous choices to purchase paying less money and gain complete customer satisfaction.
Similarly, another reason behind this agreement is spending little money but filling the shopping bags. This establishment allows people to spend minimum amount on their cloths and gives option to buy more products. Unlike the branded cloths, one need to spend huge amount to buy single product even with the minimum color options.
Nevertheless, people who support buying the branded products enables more advantages because this helps to protect our environment, makes one comfortable, confident and provides long lasting facility. For example, people who wear branded cloths will be extremely confident to face the crowd and also feel certainly comfortable with their clothing.
To conclude, although, opting the branded products could help in making one confident and feel comfortable but this needs chunk of amount to spend on single one. Hence, I opine to buy more less quality products since this had various options in colour and design

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention 'colour options' and 'filling shopping bags' as reasons for preferring cheaper clothes, these points are not fully extended with strong logical reasoning. The counter-argument regarding branded clothes is acknowledged but remains brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is supported by a more detailed explanation or a more specific, personal example rather than general statements about 'local markets'. The conclusion is also slightly abrupt and lacks a final summary of the main arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the effulgence side', 'Moreover', and 'Similarly'. However, some of these transitions are used incorrectly or sound unnatural, such as 'On the effulgence side' (which is not a standard English phrase) and 'This establishment' to refer to a previous idea. The flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to your overall position.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
There is an attempt to use a wide range of vocabulary, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'Some expects believe' (experts), 'bulk of low quality cloths' (clothes), and 'On the effulgence side' are incorrect. The word 'effulgence' is misused here, as it refers to brightness or radiance. While you attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary like 'elucidated' and 'propensity', these are often used in contexts where they do not fit naturally. Focus on using words that you are confident about to ensure precision and avoid awkward phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('this had various options'), incorrect word forms ('buy more less quality products'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly in the conclusion where the sentence structure breaks down. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors occur frequently enough to distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, such as ensuring correct pluralisation and verb tense consistency, before attempting more complex structures.
