Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address the prompt, the position is inconsistent and unclear. You state you will explain the 'drawbacks of expensive clothes', but the arguments provided are fragmented and lack logical depth. The ideas regarding fashion trends and financial habits are mentioned but not sufficiently supported or linked back to the core debate of quality versus quantity. To improve, ensure you fully develop your arguments with clear examples and maintain a consistent stance throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Majorly on the one hand' and 'On the other hands', which do not function correctly as transition signals. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences often lack logical connection to one another. Referencing is also unclear, making it hard for the reader to identify the subject of your arguments. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would greatly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'clothes' and 'buy'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'huge accord of thought and speclation' and 'new genration'. Spelling errors are also prevalent (e.g., 'cloths' instead of 'clothes', 'expnsive'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and ensuring accurate spelling, while also attempting to incorporate a wider variety of synonyms to avoid repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The grammatical range is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentence structures. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement ('fashion will be start'), article usage, and sentence construction ('If daily purchased expensive cloths it is bad effects'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with apostrophes and commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors causes some difficulty for the reader. You should focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization before attempting more complex structures.
