Student answer (Band 6.5)
Money plays an important role in everyone's life. But nowadays youngsters spend a lots of money in order to buy clothes and other products. In modern era, most people prefer to buy few expensive clothes rather than lots of cheaper clothes. I totally agree with this viewpoints. In the upcoming paragraphs, I will discuss the reasons along with some examples to clearly understand the point of view.
To begin with, there are various reasons that why is better to buy just few expensive clothes rather than lots of cheaper clothes. First and foremost is the space. Nowadays everyone has a limited space to live . so if they just buy lots of cheaper clothes it is difficult for them to adjust their clothes. For example, My friend live in the basement and their is limited space to live their. There is small closet in her room so she prefer to buy only few expensive clothes.
Moreover, wastage of money. If we buy a lots of cheaper clothes it would be wastage of the money because the quality of that clothes is not good. with some few month, the clothes get worst and then we need to throw them. Instead of that wastage we need to buy expensive clothes which are always good in the quality and also run longer than the cheaper clothes. It also save our time and money . But we need to buy only few expensive clothes which look beautiful and also always good in the quality

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have clearly stated your position and addressed the prompt. The ideas regarding storage space and quality/value for money are relevant and support your argument. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example about your friend in the basement is a bit narrow and could be expanded to explain the broader benefits of a minimalist lifestyle or the psychological impact of owning fewer, higher-quality items. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting points are fully explored rather than just briefly mentioned. The conclusion is also missing, which is necessary to provide a sense of closure to your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'First and foremost', and 'Moreover'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between ideas could be smoother. For example, the transition from discussing space to the wastage of money is abrupt. Additionally, the lack of a concluding paragraph affects the overall coherence, as the essay ends rather suddenly without summarizing your main points or restating your position.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'wastage of money' and 'quality'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'with some few month' (within a few months) and 'run longer' (last longer). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing like 'expensive clothes' and 'cheaper clothes' by using synonyms or paraphrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('a lots of'), subject-verb agreement ('My friend live'), and preposition usage ('space to live their'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that articles are used correctly before nouns.
