Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued by some to purchase expensive outfits instead of cheaper clothes. I strongly agree with this trend because it lead to less purchasing and sustainable life.
On of the major reasons is most of the costly dresses provide better quality than the cheap products and it will last longer. For instance, the clothing from famous brand such as Zara, Nike and so on seems to be last longer than the local brands. Moreover, since it is expensive and have longer life people have a tendency to purchase less in number and use it for a long time period. Additionally, wearing the luxurious outfits will make a individual more confident. Furthermore, investment on expensive clothes are always economical, because if we are using cheaper clothes we have to replace it very often.
In addition, nowadays accumulation of textile wastes is increasing day by day, hence to lead a sustainable life it is better to invest in good quality dresses. The expensive clothing brands generally use the better quality raw materials for their products which will not get damaged easily whereas, the cheap low quality items might get fade or shrinks even after a few use and get outdated and accumulated as waste products in landfills. Most of the time these inexpensive products make many toxic substances such as microplastics and many other chemicals while washing can cause severe health issues.
In conclusion, the cheap clothing are available more because of its low manufacturing cost and cheaper raw materials

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant arguments regarding quality, longevity, and environmental impact. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the environmental argument is well-supported, the point about confidence is underdeveloped. Additionally, the conclusion is incomplete, as it stops abruptly without summarizing the main points or restating your position. To reach a higher band, ensure that all paragraphs are fully developed and that the essay has a proper concluding sentence that reinforces your stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'Furthermore' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. The transition between the body paragraphs and the conclusion is abrupt, and the final sentence is a fragment that does not effectively tie the essay together. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring a cohesive, complete conclusion would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sustainable life', 'accumulation', and 'toxic substances'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'make many toxic substances' (should be 'produce' or 'release') and 'get fade or shrinks' (should be 'fade or shrink'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that verbs and nouns agree in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('it lead to', 'it is expensive and have', 'investment... are'), and missing articles or incorrect pluralization ('a individual', 'the cheap clothing are'). While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to limit the score. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tense usage throughout your paragraphs.
