Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent years, it is often argued that purchasing a few high-quality clothes is accurate decision instead of buying several affordable clothes. I completely agree with this phenomenon because of their durability and luxurious appearance.
To begin with, branded clothes have a long life, which means people can wear them for years and they does not fade as cheaper ones even after several washes these looks even more good same as a new product. To exemplify, when individuals spent more money to buy a branded jacket, they are enjoying to wear it every winter; however, cheap jacket has to change every year. Therefore, it is better to use money on quality over quantity.
Another reason why I support this trend is high-quality clothes are made with exclusive fabric, which gives a luxurious look and comfort after wearing them and even feel more confidence. Moreover, such items always have a warrant to change and replace if any issue occurs. For instance, many people prefer to wear brand clothes for not only their causal work but also for their profession, solely because of luxury and comfortable material. Consequently, expensive products play a vital role to enhance the personality.
In conclusion, a few expensive clothes gain more popularity not only because their new looks last for years but also due to their luxurious appearance and comfortab

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the response is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas regarding durability and comfort are relevant, they are not fully developed. The conclusion is also incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a full summary of the points. To reach a higher band, you must ensure you meet the word count requirement and provide a complete, well-rounded conclusion that synthesizes your main arguments rather than just repeating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'Consequently' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, and the abrupt ending of the essay negatively impacts the overall coherence. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your paragraph structure is balanced. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is clear, but the lack of a finished conclusion makes the overall progression feel incomplete.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'durability,' 'exclusive fabric,' and 'luxurious appearance.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'accurate decision' instead of 'sound decision' or 'good choice,' and 'warrant to change' instead of 'warranty.' Some phrasing is repetitive, and the vocabulary is generally functional rather than sophisticated. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repeating basic words like 'clothes' or 'buy' by using synonyms such as 'garments,' 'apparel,' 'purchase,' or 'invest in.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors that occasionally impede readability. For example, 'they does not fade' should be 'they do not fade,' and 'these looks even more good' is grammatically incorrect. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text. While your meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic agreement and tense consistency, and try to vary your sentence structures with more complex clauses to demonstrate better control.
