Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people believe that buying variety of cheap cloths is better than some expensive cloths. I am partly agree with this statement. There are some benefit of cheap one's but expensive cloths have more value.
To commence with, There are some advantages of various types of cheap cloths. To explain it, First one is people can buy more cloths instead of just one. For example, if person buy one expensive T-shirt it may cost him 100 dollars, if he choose to spend that 100 dollars on cheap cloths he may get 1 or two full outfit. As a result, instead of wearing one expensive, people prefer to show variety of attires in same price. Moreover, It is called fast fashion. People love to buy cheap cloths and wear it Once and throw them. To elaborate, there are some online platforms like Shein and some brands like H&M and Zare also promotes this kind of trends.
On the other hand, some people including me, still believe in quality as compare to quantity. To explain, Many individual look to invest on expensive cloths rather than buying cheap one's. They believe fast fashion is just a way to spend more. For example, Although a person can get more in price of one, cheap cloths needs to be replaced after one or two wears. Another one is that, expensive brands give guarantee for this products. To explain, some nike shoes has gurantee card with it. if shoes get damaged, it can be exchanged within one year with no extra cost.
In conclusion, eventhough, fast fashion is popular among some people, many including me still believe in quality over quantity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all parts of the task and maintained a clear position throughout. You provided relevant arguments for both sides of the debate, such as the appeal of variety and 'fast fashion' versus the long-term value of quality items. The ideas are generally well-developed, though some points, such as the mention of 'Nike shoes', could be expanded further to fully illustrate the concept of durability. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more detailed and directly linked to the core argument of cost-effectiveness versus initial affordability.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes a bit mechanical. Additionally, there are some issues with referencing and sentence-level cohesion, such as the repetitive use of 'To explain' and 'To elaborate'. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'fast fashion' and 'quality over quantity'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'cloths' instead of 'clothes', 'Zare' instead of 'Zara', 'gurantee') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'show variety of attires'). To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common words and expanding your range of synonyms to avoid repeating basic terms like 'cheap' and 'expensive' throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'cheap cloths needs to be replaced') and article usage (e.g., 'if person buy'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas and capitalization issues. To achieve a higher score, you should work on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and attempt to use a wider variety of complex sentence structures with greater precision.
