Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is argued that shopping of expensive attires would be a better choice rather than inexpensive clothes. I completely agree with this statement because costlier clothing would have less options and represents a high standard of living.

Nowadays, people generally prefer to wear branded dresses. it is apparently seen, that kind of clothing has very limited options to purchase. This leads towards not only less confusion, but also will be more suitable. People will not be skeptical in mind which one is the best for them. They directly delve themselves into shopping to look more beautiful as clothes have the best quality and standards. Current days, the majority of young population love to try different brands dresses.

Furthermore, the quality of life has been evolved as compared to past. One of the compelling reasons is that the most of public is living in a fast-paced environment. This leads them to save their quality time. Choosing clothes is also one of the reasons to feel stress. They most likely to buy expensive clothes to solve this issue as their standard of living is high and it requires that kind of dressing sense. That is why they like to wear that type of attire which directly help them to save their time and suits their life style , too.

In conclusion, a few branded clothes are a far better than lots of cheaper ones as they provide a sense of satisfaction to match respective personality. It also helps to improve social status in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You argue that expensive clothing is preferable due to quality, reduced decision fatigue, and social status. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the claim that expensive clothes have 'less options' is slightly confusing and could have been explained more clearly as 'curated choices' or 'minimalism'. While the ideas are relevant, they are not fully extended with concrete examples, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but the overall argument remains somewhat superficial.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'In conclusion', and 'This leads towards', which help the reader follow your argument. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences, such as 'It is apparently seen, that kind of clothing...', lack smooth integration. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate your main points, contributing to an overall coherent structure, though the progression of ideas could be more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fast-paced environment', 'skeptical', and 'satisfaction'. However, there are instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'shopping of expensive attires' (should be 'purchasing expensive attire') and 'delve themselves into shopping'. These errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a lack of precision. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical context. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning but lacks the flexibility and sophistication required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'the most of public is living' (should be 'most of the public'), 'a few branded clothes are a far better' (should be 'are far better'), and 'directly help them to save their time and suits their life style' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are some unnecessary commas, such as in 'It is apparently seen, that...'. These errors are noticeable but rarely prevent the reader from understanding your intended message.
