Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely limits your ability to develop your ideas. While you state a clear position, the essay is incomplete and stops abruptly mid-sentence. Because the task is not fully addressed and the ideas are not extended or supported as required for a full essay, the score is restricted. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full introduction, at least two well-developed body paragraphs with supporting examples, and a conclusion. You need to expand on your points regarding quality and storage to meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows a basic attempt at logical organization by using transition words like 'Firstly' and 'Moreover'. However, because the text is so short and ends mid-sentence, it is impossible to assess your ability to manage paragraphing or cohesive devices over a full piece of writing. The flow is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the response. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts and using a wider variety of cohesive devices to link your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally appropriate for the topic, such as 'beneficial', 'notion', and 'reliable'. However, the range is limited due to the brevity of the text. There are some minor collocation issues, such as 'buying attires', where 'purchasing clothing' or 'buying garments' would be more natural. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise vocabulary and avoid repetitive phrasing. Expanding your writing will naturally allow you to demonstrate a wider range of lexical items.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are several subject-verb agreement errors, such as 'Many people believes' (should be 'believe') and 'I strongly agrees' (should be 'agree'). Additionally, 'most brands offers' should be 'most brands offer'. While you attempt some complex structures, these basic errors occur frequently in the short text provided. To improve, focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your verb forms consistently match your subjects. Practicing the construction of error-free complex sentences will also help improve your score.
