Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of buying expensive clothes. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you mention quality and durability, the argument regarding 'discounts' in the third paragraph is slightly tangential to the core debate of quality versus quantity. The ideas are relevant but lack depth; for instance, the point about 'personality' is mentioned but not fully explained or linked back to the main argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that every paragraph directly supports your central thesis with well-elaborated examples rather than listing features.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Another reason', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Undoubtedly, by adding one more point of agreement'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, 'the higher one' is vague and does not clearly refer back to 'expensive clothes'. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'high-end', 'exceptional', and 'plethora'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'at the peak level', 'take their items', and 'loyalty of words'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly opaque. To improve, focus on learning common collocations (e.g., 'durable materials' instead of 'extraordinary materials') and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message but lacks the precision required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('the quality delivered by those products are exceptional') and article usage. Some sentences are structurally confusing, such as 'it creates positivity amongst each other to consider at the first place'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles. A more careful proofreading process would help identify and correct these recurring basic errors.
