Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemparory era, there is a debate going on about purchasing a small number of expensive outfits compared to spending enormous on affortable clothes. I believe that individuals requires to purchase valuable and cheaper clothes.
The main reason why people should buy some costly outfits than cheaper dresses because of the quality and standard of the clothes. If any person purchased any valuable suits and designer shirts, they could wear it for longer period of time beacuse of it high quality materials. For example, In many countries, individauls are spending tremendinous amount of money on branded cloths like ZARA, CK, and GUCCI because of the variety of clothing and long term warranty on the outfits. Therefore, They donot need to buy more number of clothes.
In contrast, many individauls prefer to purchase affortable outfits campared to expensive one because it is prudent to save money for basic requirements such as food, healthcare, and security. These days, individuals needs to secure enormous amount of money for financial crisis, so it is extremely beneficial to spend less on their wearing. Such as, in Arab, individuals are dealing with multitudinous problems as poverty and starvation because of that they are puchasing the cheaper clothes. Thus, they could reserve some finance for neccesity.
To sum up, many people believe that it is effective to purchase a few valuable clothes but as far as I concern, both are equally crucial in individuals lives as branded outfits provide us quality and warranty whereas cheaper clothes built our saving for disaster like world crisis.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument. However, the position is somewhat contradictory; while the introduction states the writer believes in purchasing both, the conclusion reiterates this balanced view. The ideas are relevant, such as the focus on quality versus financial prudence, but the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the example regarding poverty in Arab countries is a bit of a generalisation and lacks a direct link to the clothing debate. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated and maintained throughout the essay, and provide more focused, logical support for your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In contrast', 'Therefore', and 'To sum up', though some are used mechanically or slightly incorrectly (e.g., 'Such as, in Arab...'). Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the flow is slightly disjointed due to grammatical errors. The paragraphing is appropriate for the task, and the overall structure is logical, moving from the benefits of quality to the necessity of saving money.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary range is adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'contemparory', 'affortable', 'tremendinous', 'cloths', and 'neccesity'. While the student attempts to use some less common vocabulary like 'prudent', 'multitudinous', and 'starvation', the misuse of words like 'enormous' (used as a noun) and 'wearing' (instead of 'clothing') limits the precision. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form and context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('individuals requires', 'individuals needs'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing ('spending enormous on affortable clothes'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar structures is noticeable. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur consistently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction would significantly improve the clarity and accuracy of the writing.
