Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the current societal landscape, buying less but branded outfits are becoming quite favorable trend instead of economical. I vehemently believe that the shopping should always be an entertaining source not a life standard scale. Efficient spending habits has crucial benefits which will be elaborated in subsequent paragraphs with examples.
There is no denying the fact that clothing becomes a symbol of wealth and high standards in the contemporary era. Specially youngsters are keen towards modern trends and fashion which are prominent factors of changing buying habits. Besides this, majority of individuals are fascinated towards following famous personalities just for being cool among others. These aspects leads to effect the social and economical states of personal as well as national. It is well evident by a recent survey conducted which elaborate that due to incline trend of importing branded materials, specifically clothes, consumes highest funds of a country. Therefore, the economy has left with insufficient money to spend on other development sectors.
Furthermore, earnings are not invested wisely. The practice of spending incomes only on expensive products can have detrimental outcomes in long run. There would be lack of savings for future, limited funds for upcoming generations, and incapable of paying for other necessities. Clothing is only one of the basic survival need which can be fulfilled with cheap outfits. Instead of buying one other two articles for higher prices, one can get plenty within same amount. The significance instance is taste and preference of girls which are fluctuating frequently. They always needs to have new wearing for each day, so it will be propitious to go with low price but numerous option.
In conclusion, I firmly assert that spending less on cloths are efficient as it is not only advantageous for personal savings but also pivotal for economical purposes. The value of money must be considered thoughtfully.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of buying cheaper clothes. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic impact of importing branded goods and the practical benefits of having more variety for the same price. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding national economic impact is a bit tangential to the personal choice of clothing, and some points, such as the 'taste and preference of girls', are slightly over-generalized. To reach a higher band, ensure that all arguments directly support the core thesis and provide more nuanced examples that avoid sweeping generalizations about specific demographics.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore', 'In conclusion', and 'Besides this', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as in the sentence 'These aspects leads to effect the social and economical states', where the antecedent for 'these aspects' is slightly vague. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the flow between sentences could be improved to make the progression of ideas feel more natural and less like a list of points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinion clearly. There are attempts to use less common items like 'vehemently', 'detrimental', and 'propitious'. However, there are several instances of awkward collocation and word choice errors, such as 'economical' instead of 'economical clothes' or 'economical purposes', and 'incline trend' instead of 'increasing trend'. Some phrases, like 'life standard scale', are non-idiomatic. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precision in word choice prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'These aspects leads', 'They always needs') and pluralization (e.g., 'spending less on cloths', 'one other two articles'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in sentence construction that occasionally distract the reader. While the errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and pluralization would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
