Student answer (Band 6.0)

Quality is more productive than quantity. A few amount of people believes that buying numerous amount of less price clothing is more good as compare to buy higher price and less number of clothes. According to my perspective, Ibuying expensive clothes is more best rather than cheaper ones.

First of all, health is really important besides money. For instance, during the winter's session, temperature drops almost around minus 35 degree and to keep your self warm, in this kind of harsh weather you really need a good winter cheap which can protect you from the cold temperature as well as from fross biets. But usually winters jackets are available in two different prices depend on their brands, like Canada Goose, they gave 7 years of warrenty of their quality of products. However, their prices usually starts from 300$, which is expense but its worth it for many years. As a result, you do not need to spend every year on the jacket, additionally beside this jacket you do not need to wear any other layer to keep your self warm or to spend on other clothings.

Secondly, expensive clothing can provides you comfortness. For example, according to dermatologist cotton is the best fabric to use as compare to polyster. Because cotton is soft,t cold and comfort type, on the other hand, polyster is hard, warm and tight or sticky type which can cause skin problems like skin allergy or rashes.

On the flip side, few people thinks that spending money on high rate clothing is not worth it. Like, beisde buying one dress in 100$, and 4 dresses is same amount is more good becuase by that they can wear it, in different occasions beside wear the same one on each place.

In conclusion, saving money and loading your almire with lots of clothes is not good besides spending money on worth it clothes and on quality ones because nothing is improtant than health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of buying fewer, higher-quality clothes. The ideas are relevant, focusing on durability and health benefits. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the example of the winter jacket is well-supported, the second point regarding fabric types is less effectively linked to the core argument of 'expensive vs. cheap' clothing, as cotton can be inexpensive. To improve, ensure that every supporting point directly reinforces your main thesis. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, but you have successfully maintained a consistent position throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all,' 'Secondly,' and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as the transition into the counter-argument paragraph. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack smooth logical connections, which occasionally disrupts the reading flow. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would help improve the overall cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that hinder precision. For example, you use 'A few amount of people' (incorrect quantifier), 'less price' (should be 'lower price'), and 'comfortness' (not a standard word). You also struggle with spelling, such as 'fross biets' (frostbite) and 'almire' (armoire/wardrobe). While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'dermatologist' and 'polyester,' the inaccuracies in basic word formation and collocation prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Focus on learning common collocations and standardizing your spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('few people thinks'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing ('buying expensive clothes is more best'). There are also punctuation errors and run-on sentences that make some parts difficult to follow. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar—such as pluralization and comparative structures—limits the score. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips before attempting more complex structures.
