Student answer (Band 6.5)
Although it is often asserted that it's considered wiser to buy a few branded clothes, a contrasting opinion suggests that one can keep buying cheaper and lots of clothes. Despite the convenience of the former, I firmly agree with the latter view, which is the aspect of buying multiple but cheaper clothes. Two main reasons are first, it keeps us up to date in budget friendly option and second I do not support unnecessary hype for expensive brands and give importance to the local cheaper products as well.
A paramount reason to advocate for the approach that I support is that I am from a middle-class family and want to look as stunning as celebrities. But to make my wardrobe colorful and vibrant with the branded items I will be left with no saving within few spendings. For instance I always get compliments and good comments unlike my rich friend Alisha who always go for brands, for my stylish cloth choices which I buy at very chap rates which nobody would believe at first. So I believe one can look great even with cheaper clothes if you have right attitude and personality to carry it.
Another key argument in favour of this perspective is that why to brag and spend hundreds of dollars behind a simple cloth piece when its going to hang in the wardrobe for months after one wear. Whereas deep down within we all know that the manufacturing cost is only one third of the price of what these brands are selling us the product. So why make these rich people more rich instead we can really contribute to help the local weavers or tailors by buying their master peices. To be perfectly honest sometimes you get gem from such stores in the name of haul which later becomes your one of the favourite one to go with. To give a real world example one of my cousin sister earns lakhs by making vlogs in which she slays wearing the thrifted clothes, obviously the chosen ones. Instead of spending in brands she is earning with her smart moves.
On balance, while buying branded apparels presents might have valid considerations, the arguments that support purchasing the affordable clothes carry significantly greater weight in lots of perspectives, like stating cool as well as helping locals. To conclude embracing this evolution responsibly will determine how effectively local communities will thrive in an increasingly money demanding world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have clearly stated your position and maintained it throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant and supported by personal examples, such as the mention of your friend Alisha and your cousin's vlogging career. However, the development of ideas is somewhat informal and occasionally relies on anecdotal evidence rather than broader societal analysis. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are more balanced and analytical. For instance, while you mention the cost of production, expanding on the environmental impact of 'fast fashion' versus the durability of high-quality items would provide a more sophisticated perspective on the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'A paramount reason', 'Another key argument', and 'On balance', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'which is the aspect of buying multiple but cheaper clothes'. Additionally, the use of referencing could be smoother; for example, the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be more tightly integrated to improve the flow of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'vibrant', 'apparels', 'thrive', and 'master pieces'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor collocation errors, such as 'expensive brands and give importance to the local cheaper products' or 'spend hundreds of dollars behind a simple cloth piece'. The phrase 'cousin sister' is also non-standard in international English. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding informal phrasing like 'slays' or 'gem from such stores'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the branded items', 'the local cheaper products'), pluralization ('cloth' instead of 'clothes'), and sentence construction ('why to brag and spend... when its going to hang'). Some sentences are slightly fragmented or run-on, which affects the overall fluency. To achieve a higher score, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, and try to vary your sentence structures with more complex, error-free clauses.
