Student answer (Band 6.0)
I compeletly agree with the given statement that buying branded clothes are muchmore good than buying lots of cheaper clothes
There are numerous reasons for buying quality clothes in low quantity. The first and the foremost one is guaranteed clothes. when people buy brands they get guarantee of their clothes by the company that clothes are not going to fade, shrink or tear normally in a year after buying. For example, If a person bought a new pair of jeans and he or she weared it two or three times and that jeans colours got faded or that jeans got teared then that person will have that guarantee card which is given by company to exchange the clothes whatever happens.
The second benefit of buying branded is status and wealth. People who wear branded clothes they are noticed by everyone. As good branded clothes makes a individual more personalted. The third benifit of having good quality clothes saves our money. For instance, when there are ending seasons of summers or winters we get number of deals on branded clothes as buy one get one free which helps us to have more good branded clothes at less price. As a result, Buying good clothes from brands saves our money.
Conclusion, I completely accept that having few high price clothes are much better then the clothes which are cheaper and are of poor qaulity this drop our status and our personality i n the society which is not for not good thing.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of buying expensive clothes. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons such as durability, status, and potential savings, the explanations are occasionally repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the argument regarding 'status' is mentioned but not fully explored in a sophisticated way. The conclusion is also quite brief and contains some confusing phrasing regarding the impact of cheap clothes on personality. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph fully explores the implications of your points rather than just stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'The first and the foremost one' and 'For instance,' which are helpful. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between ideas is weak, such as in the final paragraph where the transition to the conclusion is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, making some sentences feel disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between paragraphs would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'compeletly', 'personalted', 'benifit', 'qaulity') and some awkward collocations, such as 'muchmore good' and 'teared'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary, the repetition of basic words like 'clothes' and 'branded' limits your score. To reach a higher band, focus on using more varied synonyms and ensuring correct word forms. You should also pay closer attention to spelling, as these errors occur frequently throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'buying branded clothes are muchmore good' (subject-verb agreement) and 'that jeans colours got faded' (incorrect pluralization/article usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. The frequency of these errors means that while the meaning is generally clear, the reader is frequently distracted by grammatical inaccuracies. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and diversifying your sentence structures with more complex clauses.
