Student answer (Band 5.5)
Having a great fashion sense is very important in this morderen world. In some part of the world some individulas think buying few expensive clothes is bettet then buying lots of cheaper clothes. I agree with this statement but disagree also at the same time.
Buying expansive clothes is a great thing as it show how rich and how much fashion sence a person have and expensive clothes are also long lasting as a individual can wear it for so many time. For example- one of my friend went to Goa in Indea from there he bought a Prada shirt from the mall in 2019 and he still wear that shirt on every party and no one can tell that that shirt bought in 2019 as it still looks new.
On the other hand, buying cheaper clothes is also very good idea as the individual can save so much money which they can use the money in some thing eals which can help them in future. For example- one of my class mate buy lots of cheap clothes from local store in the area and with the rest of the money he bought second hand laptop on lease which help him in study and in leaser time he watch movies on it. Also buying cheap clothes also help local buissines owners
In conclusion, Buying expensive or cheaper clothes depend on the buyer as there are so many people who cant afford to buy expensive clothes so they have to buy cheap clothes from local stores in the area.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the position is somewhat contradictory. You state you agree and disagree simultaneously, which makes the overall argument less clear. While you provide relevant examples (the Prada shirt and the laptop), the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. To reach a higher band, ensure your position is consistent and clearly articulated throughout the essay. The conclusion introduces a new point about affordability rather than summarizing your main arguments, which weakens the overall task response. Focus on developing your arguments with more depth and maintaining a clear, unified stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'For example' used twice in a similar way). The transition between ideas is functional but lacks sophistication. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect your arguments more fluidly. The paragraphing is logical, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be strengthened to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'morderen', 'individulas', 'bettet', 'expansive', 'sence', 'leaser', 'buissines') that occur frequently. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable and detract from the professional tone of the essay. You rely on simple, repetitive vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and academic collocations, and pay closer attention to your spelling during the proofreading stage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'one of my class mate buy'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'he still wear'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of hyphens and commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures limits the score. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your accuracy.
