Student answer (Band 6.5)
Although, many people believe that purchasing numerous inexpensive clothing is acceptable, I think in a reverse manner and agree to the other choice of getting fewer expensive clothes. My inclination is justified in the following paragraphs.
Out of all the arguments, the strongest one to prove my view is the quality of materials used by luxurious brands. This is to say that many high-class brands sell better qualtity goods which enhances the life-span of the item even after multiple wash. A good example for this is Polo, they are popular for selling classic polo t-shirts. The cotton material used to produce them is of much high grade, which makes them immune to degarde while cleaning. Besides this, such costlier brands also leave an impression for their consumers by the feeling of relaxed and calm due to softness and skin friendly chothing.
The other reason to prove my point is the mental wellness which comes from self-rewarding, for instance when a person spends money over expensive stuff such as clothings, they get a feeling of fullfilled because after working hard to earn money and then buying them gives our mind an emotional satisfaction.
On the contrary, some people counter claim the mentioned support. The foremost argument they do is the variety of choices available to wear every single day. Also, their option to buy more items once they are fulfilled by wearing same pair numerous times.
Thus, to wrap up the discussion, it can be said that despite the choice of quantity provided by cheaper outfits, overall satisfaction is best achieved from expensive clothes with higher quality and comfort.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding quality and mental satisfaction are relevant, though the development of the second point is somewhat brief. The counter-argument is acknowledged, which adds balance to the essay. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your examples; for instance, when mentioning 'Polo', you could explain how the durability of the fabric provides better long-term value compared to 'fast fashion' alternatives. Overall, the ideas are well-supported and the position is consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Out of all the arguments', 'Besides this', and 'On the contrary' are used effectively to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing could be more sophisticated. The progression of ideas is clear, but the link between the 'mental wellness' paragraph and the rest of the essay could be strengthened to ensure a more seamless flow of arguments. Overall, the structure is sound and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with some precision. Phrases like 'high-class brands' and 'mental wellness' are appropriate. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'degarde' (degrade), 'chothing' (clothing), and 'fullfilled' (fulfilled). Additionally, 'I think in a reverse manner' is not a natural collocation. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure correct spelling, as these errors occasionally distract the reader from your otherwise clear arguments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'purchasing numerous inexpensive clothing' (should be 'items of clothing'), 'much high grade' (should be 'much higher grade'), and 'buying them gives our mind an emotional satisfaction' (should be 'gives one emotional satisfaction'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are some issues with comma usage, such as the unnecessary comma after 'Although'. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help improve your score in this criterion.
