Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people hold their opinion that purchasing the luxury apparel is feasible option instead of choosing to spent money on low quality clothes. Meanwhile, few individuals stated that in the current market few affordable with good quality clothes product are available at par with the branded product. I am this notion that people should buy affordable clothes rather than expensive clothes.
In this world scenario, environmental problems are at peak in the world, among that water scarcity is highly notable and also manufacturing clothes consumes a hefty amount of water. In this massive climate change, is better to opt for affordable clothes, which is at same level of quality compared to branded clothes. Furthermore, promoting local brands creates job opportunity for domestic dwellers and also if people use clothes for long term, which eventually save one hundered litre of waters per one person, this awareness should be spread by company and the government.
In addition to this, due to greedy nature of clothing brands, they have deliberately created the multiple categories of clothes not only lure the customer but also pursuing them indirectly for unnecessary purchase of clothes. Hence, result in sky rocket sell of mediocore clothing merchendise, due to manipulation of common dwellers by exaggerated social media marketing by brands.
Citizens should be educated the impact of apparel industry and must be introduce with the carbon footprint of this industry. Goverment should regulate the overproduction of clothes and impose fine and penalty on manipulated marketing.
Moreover, choosing the affordable clothes gives the liberty to the people to invest in different avenues. Vaierty of clothes can be settled in their personal wardbrobe.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of affordable clothing. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the environmental argument is relevant, the discussion regarding 'greedy brands' and 'social media marketing' is slightly tangential to the core debate of quality versus quantity. The conclusion is incomplete, which prevents the essay from fully developing its final summary. To reach a higher band, ensure that every paragraph directly supports the central thesis and provide a complete, well-structured conclusion that reinforces your main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or awkward, such as 'In this world scenario' or 'In addition to this'. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the transition between the environmental argument and the critique of marketing feels abrupt. The unfinished conclusion significantly impacts the overall coherence, as the essay lacks a final sense of closure. Improving the variety and natural flow of linking words would enhance the logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation. Phrases like 'sky rocket sell', 'mediocore clothing merchendise', and 'domestic dwellers' are unnatural. While the student attempts to use more sophisticated terms like 'manipulated' and 'avenues', the spelling errors (e.g., 'merchendise', 'wardbrobe', 'encapuslate') and incorrect word forms hinder the precision of the writing. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common business and environmental topics and proofread for basic spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Some people hold their opinion', 'few individuals stated'), article usage ('the luxury apparel', 'the current market'), and awkward phrasing ('is better to opt for'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles.
