Student answer (Band 5.5)
Task-2
Buying a clothing for some people is just an habit. Some people thing buy a few expensive clothes is good but some other believe is better to buy a cheaper clothes. I partially agree with this statement which I will discuss in the further paragraphs.
According to my opinion , I believe people should buy a just a few expensive and branded clothes by the company have a reputation which can be destroy from the customer after buying the clothes. For example, the famous brand name Shien is most popular all over the world. This company got so many times a warning from the government for not to sell the clothes because of some toxin products that they put in the clothes which causes the skin disease, cancer and some other diseases too. Hence, it is far better to just buy a few expensive clothes and the materials are good too to make the clothes which will not cause any problem can be put on the for longer period.
On the other hand, people thing should buy the cheaper clothes. The cheaper clothes are easy to buy from the any shop and people can just put on that cheaper clothes for one or two times after that they can throw them out in this way. They can also make their dream for putting those clothes which they were not allowed to be put on and it also saves the money of the person. In USA, 2001 one of the famous director from India. His name is prate. He likes to buy the a lot of cheaper clothes so that which he can gave to his actor or actress who are going to work in his film, so it saves his lot of money and also make the movie a low budget. Hence, people likes to buy cheap clothes.
In conclusion, buying a expensive clothes is more better because people are Gona put on the skin which will be affected with the skin disease, so it is good to buy expensive rather than the cheaper clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a position, though the development of ideas is inconsistent. You provide a clear argument for expensive clothing based on health and quality, but the counter-argument regarding cheaper clothes is less convincing and somewhat confusing in its logic. The example regarding the film director is not clearly linked to the prompt's core debate about personal clothing choices, making the support feel tangential. To improve, ensure that every example directly reinforces your stated position and provides a more logical explanation for why one choice is superior to the other.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'Hence' and 'In this way'. Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between the director's budget and the general consumer's choice is weak. Improving the flow between sentences using a wider variety of linking words would help the progression of your ideas feel more natural and logical.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede clarity. For example, you use 'put on' to mean 'wear' or 'purchase', and 'Gona' is an informal contraction that is inappropriate for an IELTS essay. Phrases like 'toxin products' should be 'toxic products' or 'harmful substances'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the lack of precision in word formation and the reliance on basic phrasing limit your ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people thing should buy'), incorrect article usage ('a just a few'), and awkward phrasing ('the company have a reputation which can be destroy'). These errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader work harder to understand your intended meaning. To reach a higher band, focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs are correctly conjugated and that articles are used appropriately with nouns.
