Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clothes are an essential part of our daily lives, so there are numerous people who like to buy just a few expensive clothes, rather than buying lots of cheap clothes. I will discuss why individuals like to buy some clothes on higher price rather than buy a lot on less rate in upcoming paragraphs and I am agreeing with the statement.
To begin with, there are many reasons why pupils like to buy few expensive clothes. First and foremost, which clothes are expensive they have good quality of fabric, and they use the same clothes for long term. For example, many people have to wear black paints at work, so they like to buy pair of expensive one and like to wear it for long time, which also enhance their personality at workplace. Secondly, premium clothes also helpful to enhance person's personality they feel more confident when they wear them.
Furthermore, in luxurious clothes people feel more comfortable and do their work more efficiently and also enjoy other events of their life. For instance, when individuals wear expensive clothes in parties and professional events everyone gave them complements and they feel over the moon at that time. Moreover, some people like to buy premium clothes to show their wealth, which show their status in the community.
In conclusion, no doubt there are numerous people who like to buy expensive clothes for different reasons and want to enhance their personality and show their wealth front of others, but still there are many people who live under poverty line and can't afford premium clothes, so they like to buy cheaper one to fulfill their need.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have clearly stated your position in the introduction and maintained it throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, focusing on quality, durability, and confidence. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'showing wealth' is mentioned but not fully explored in relation to the prompt's core comparison. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced arguments or deeper analysis of why the 'few expensive' approach is superior to the 'many cheap' approach, rather than just listing benefits. The conclusion introduces a new, slightly contradictory point about poverty, which is not directly relevant to the prompt's specific comparison.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Secondly', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise. For example, the transition between the benefits of expensive clothes and the concluding paragraph feels abrupt. To improve, try to use a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensure that the logical progression between ideas is more seamless rather than relying on simple list-like transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'premium', 'efficiently', and 'essential'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'buy some clothes on higher price' (should be 'at a higher price') and 'buy lots of cheap clothes' (should be 'inexpensive' or 'budget-friendly'). The phrase 'black paints' is also incorrect; 'pants' or 'trousers' would be appropriate. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include article usage ('the' missing before 'quality'), preposition errors ('on higher price'), and subject-verb agreement ('everyone gave them complements' should be 'gives'). Additionally, there are punctuation and phrasing issues, such as 'which clothes are expensive they have good quality'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors will help improve your accuracy.
