Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, some people think that it is better to purchase high quality(expensive) garments, rather than considerable quanity of chaep clothes. Although, inexpensive garements provides variety in everyday life and everybody can afford the dress code, I am agree with the statement because high quality comes with luxury and professionalism, it also have some environmental benefits.
To begin with, high quality dresses last longer and represent the symbol of wealth. In other words, these types of clothes made with natural material with extra durablility. Similarly, companies spend considerable amound to design the structure, which reflect the professionalism and enhance the confidence level of people in the public. For instance, when people wear cheap clothes in public, they usually insequre to their appearence, signidicantly lose their condifence, especially professional meetings. Therefore, these types of garments cover less space in people's house and offer sense of security about their appearence.
However, there are few advantages of buying cheap clothes, Firstly, in teer 3 cities, most individuals are not able to buy expensive dresses, they relay on cheap garments to survive in day-two-day life. Moreover, some professions need variety in their dress code such as social media influencers. For example, the media personal cannot repeat dresses on every appearence on plateform, beacuse people want them to see unique everyday. Nevertheless, high production of clothes use considerable amount of resources, which directly effect the environment for long-term.
All in all, while cheape garments are suitable option for those people who cannot afford the expensive clothes or for social media influencers to appear unique inpublic, I think high quality clothes provide sense of security and confidence, also there are less chances to affect the mother nature earth in a negative way.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position agreeing that it is better to buy a few expensive clothes rather than many cheaper ones. The main ideas are relevant and supported with explanations regarding durability, professionalism, and environmental impact. For instance, the writer discusses how higher quality garments enhance confidence in professional settings and generate less long-term waste. However, some ideas lack full extension and contain minor generalisations, such as the claim about tier 3 cities or social media influencers, which keeps the response at a Band 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is arranged logically with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing and supporting views, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different arguments. Cohesive devices are employed to link ideas, such as 'To begin with,' 'However,' and 'All in all.' However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in minor awkward transitions and repetitive sentence starters. This demonstrates the characteristics of a Band 6.0 performance.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, including terms like 'contemporary era,' 'professionalism,' 'durability,' and 'environmental benefits.' However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, such as 'quanity' instead of quantity, 'chaep' instead of cheap, 'garements' instead of garments, 'amound' instead of amount, 'insequre' instead of insecure, 'signidicantly' instead of significantly, 'teer' instead of tier, and 'relay' instead of rely. These errors do not heavily impede communication, placing the lexical range at Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing introductory subordinate clauses such as 'In this contemporary era, some people think...' and 'Although, inexpensive garements provides variety...'. However, there are frequent grammatical inaccuracies, including subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'garements provides,' 'clothes made,' 'clothing use'), incorrect prepositions, and awkward phrasing like 'they usually insequre to their appearence.' While meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors prevents the grammar score from reaching Band 6.0, fitting solidly at Band 5.0.
