In this modern world, people prefer to puchase branded cloths which are higher in the cost compare to unbranded clothing.I am fully agree on this statement and I will elobarate in detail in my essay.
Firstly, buying attire from the shops at a higher price has good quality of product. For an example, branded Jeans has longer durability than normal street shopping jeans material. Furthermore, it saves money of the consumers. To illustrate more, if people do expensive cloths shooping than they do not need purchase their garments frequently so as result it saves money of the buyer.
Secondly, it indirectly save our enviornment. For instance, people will purchase fewer cloths which indirectly produce low impact on industrial waste production and cause less negative effect on environment. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that buying fewer, expensive clothes is better. Main ideas regarding quality, financial savings, and environmental impact are presented. However, the response suffers from significant under-development due to the length restriction, containing only 181 words against the minimum 250-word requirement. Because the length requirement is not met, the task is only partially addressed, leading to limited support for the main ideas. For instance, the point about environmental impact is touched upon briefly without sufficient extension. Consequently, Task Achievement is heavily penalised for the under-length nature of the submission.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is organised into four distinct paragraphs, including a clear introduction and conclusion. Basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'Secondly' are employed to structure the response. However, paragraphing and referencing show mechanical tendencies, and progression is occasionally hindered by abrupt transitions and repetitive sentence patterns. For example, 'To illustrate more, if people do expensive cloths shooping than they do not need purchase their garments frequently so as result it saves money of the buyer' demonstrates faulty cohesion and referencing. While there is an overall logical layout, the control of cohesive devices remains basic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited range of vocabulary appropriate for the topic, such as 'durability', 'industrial waste', and 'social status'. However, there are frequent spelling errors ('puchase', 'cloths', 'elobarate', 'shooping', 'enviornment', 'quanitity') and word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'higher in the cost' instead of 'more costly' or 'expensive', and 'I am fully agree' instead of 'I fully agree'. These lexical errors reflect a limited control of word formation and spelling, capping the lexical score at a band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if people do expensive cloths shooping than they do not need purchase'). However, the text contains frequent grammatical errors, including missing prepositions, incorrect verb forms ('which enhance by showing their apprance'), and agreement issues. Punctuation errors are also present, such as missing spaces after periods and commas. While the meaning is generally communicated despite the mistakes, the frequency of errors in both simple and complex structures prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
