Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has become a common topic of debate about shopping clothes. Some people think it is always good to purchase less luxury dresses as compared to shopping less -price ones in more quantity. I am totally disagree with this statement because of wide choices to wear at different events and affordability. I will explain these both points in upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost reason behind this disagreement is that we can buy numerous clothes which are not much expensive. To elaborate it, collecting high-class clothes are not necessarey because it will make us to wear same and same again on different functions. If people have number of clothes they can wear different ones on daily basis and it helps to change personality rather than carrying same style everywhere. For example, quantity in clothes shows the individual's whole dressing- sense with different fashion taste. As a result, people feel happy in changing dresses as compare to repeating one piece of cloth at many places.
Secondly, cheap clothes dont affect the budget of any person. Because people can afford easily without getting disturbed in their whole budget. In other words, affordability does not stressed out anyone , if they will buy clothes frequently. For instance, a survey was conducted in India in 2007 indicates that 78% folks satisfied to do shopping at cheap markets rather than going to big malls with higher brands because they said they can afford easily without thinking about money. This, It saves the hard-earned money with satisfaction and happiness.
In conclusion, It is all depend on situation of individuals but buying more affordable clothes are better going for expensive in less quantity because of budget and variety.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by clearly stating a position disagreeing with the prompt and supporting it with relevant arguments regarding variety and affordability. The overall progression shows a clear viewpoint throughout the essay. However, some ideas are a bit repetitive and under-developed, preventing a higher score. For example, the point about variety in the second body paragraph relies on general assertions rather than fully extended examples, mentioning that collecting high-class clothes is unnecessary without exploring the counter-perspective in depth. To reach the next level, the ideas would need more fully realised extensions and deeper supporting explanations that avoid minor generalisations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, satisfying the structural requirements. Cohesive devices are used to signal the progression of ideas, such as using transitional markers like 'The first and foremost reason' and 'Secondly'. However, referencing and cohesion are occasionally mechanical or slightly faulty, as seen in phrases like 'These both points' and the abrupt transition 'This, It saves the hard-earned money'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but logical progression within paragraphs can feel somewhat repetitive, which holds the organization back from demonstrating the flexibility and smooth flow required at a higher standard.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday ideas and attempting less common items such as 'affordability', 'hard-earned money', and 'variety'. However, there are noticeable word-choice, collocation, and word-form errors that reveal the limitations of the lexical range. Examples include 'shopping clothes' instead of 'buying clothes', 'less luxury dresses' instead of 'fewer luxury garments', 'less -price ones', 'collecting high-class clothes' instead of 'buying high-end clothing', and 'folks satisfied to do shopping'. These inaccuracies do not entirely impede communication, but they restrict the response to a modest band level by showing frequent strain in precision and natural collocation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and relative clauses. However, there are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage that cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a limited command of complex structures. Grammatical issues include subject-verb agreement problems ('cheap clothes dont', 'It is all depend'), erroneous prepositions or patterns ('I am totally disagree', 'as compare to'), missing articles ('without getting disturbed in their whole budget'), and awkward phrasing like 'does not stressed out anyone'. Punctuation is also erratic in places, particularly around introductory elements and conjunctions. To improve, the writer needs to increase accuracy in basic sentence construction and exercise better control over verb forms.
