Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you favour inexpensive clothes, and the response gives relevant reasons about choice, affordability and support for local businesses. The examples of buying several items for the price of one branded garment and tourists purchasing traditional products help illustrate these points. However, the ideas are not developed equally: the first reason is explained briefly, while the claim that cheaper clothing supports local businesses needs a clearer link to the comparison in the question. The conclusion also introduces the opposing view (“luxury branded clothing is beneficial”) without explaining it, which slightly weakens your final position. The response is 10 words below the required minimum; add relevant explanation or an example rather than padding the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing signals such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples are placed near the points they support. This already shows some control of organisation beyond a basic list of ideas. However, several links are mechanical, and some references are unclear or repetitive. For example, “Through this” does not specify exactly what it refers to, while “It helps community to local community” repeats the same idea and interrupts the flow. Improve cohesion by using precise references and linking each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “variety,” “local economy,” “traditional products,” and “quality,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “materialistic world” and “local vendors.” However, the range is limited by repeated wording around “cheap” and “clothing,” and several inaccurate choices or misspellings make parts of the message less clear. Examples include “garments” misspelled as “graments,” “finance” as “fainance,” and the unnatural phrase “significant level.” Some combinations, such as “price hike” in the context of selling products at a reasonable price, do not express the intended meaning. Build precision by checking spelling and choosing natural collocations, especially when describing affordability and local economic benefits.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason-and-result structure in “Buying pocket friendly attire can boost local economy” and a relative clause in “products, which evidently motivate local manufactures.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “cheap clothing are” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “It helps community to local community to develop” is structurally unclear. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “boost local economy” and the run-on transition between “branded clothing.Consequently.” Practise checking agreement, articles, and punctuation, then revise complex sentences to ensure each clause has a clear subject and verb.
