Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is always better to buy a few expensive clothers, rather than buying bulk of clothes which are cheaper in price. I strongly agree with the argument. The essay will highlight reasons to support the claim with a relevant example.
Clothes that are expensive in terms of their price offers better quality and longitivity in terms of there usage. Moreover, they are better in terms of appearance which plays a vital role in enhancing our personality. On the Other hand, cheaper clothes when bought over again and again saves money but will not be able to live upto the expectations. In a short span of time, it will torn apart and will be a waste of money. It is not a good practice to buy more number of clothes that are less in cost but not serving the purpose.
Moreover, in some social events, it is very important to select proper wearings. This creates a strong impact while we are communicating and addressing problems. In today's world, people judges overall character by looking at the dressing sense of an individual. Hence, we need to select premium collection of clothes meant for each and every events. For Example; Famous actor, Shahrukh khan keeps the collection of expensive clothes and creates a rapid impact while communicates with his followers at various social media platforms and gatherings.
Hence, it is justifiable fact to keep a good quality of clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”), and you give relevant reasons: durability, appearance, and the impression clothing can make at social events. The example of Shah Rukh Khan also supports your point, so the response addresses the question. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that expensive clothes enhance personality could be linked more clearly to why this justifies buying fewer items, and the celebrity example does not show directly that owning expensive clothes is better than buying many cheaper ones. The conclusion is very brief, and the response is 14 words below the required minimum. Develop the comparison and add a fuller, relevant example to complete the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a concluding statement. The progression from durability and appearance to clothing at social events is easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “Hence,” which help signal relationships between ideas. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. To improve further, make the links between claims more precise: the contrast about cheaper clothes saving money is not fully reconciled with the claim that they become wasteful. The final sentence also ends the argument abruptly. Use clearer referencing and transitions, and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of vocabulary relevant to clothing and social impressions, including “quality,” “appearance,” “enhancing our personality,” and “strong impact.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “plays a vital role” and “justifiable fact.” However, several inaccurate or unnatural choices reduce precision: “longitivity” is not the appropriate word, “proper wearings” is awkward, and “rapid impact” does not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors such as “clothers,” “there,” and “upto” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than formal-sounding phrases, and proofread spelling. For example, use “durability,” “appropriate clothing,” and “make a strong impression.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “On the other hand” and a relative clause in “clothes that are expensive.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. In “Clothes … offers,” the plural subject requires “offer”; “people judges” should be “people judge”; and “it will torn apart” needs a passive form, such as “it will be torn.” There are also problems with articles and number in “each and every events,” and the sentence about communicating with followers lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. Work on subject–verb agreement, passive constructions, and plural forms, then check each sentence for a complete and accurate structure.
