Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern world, purchase expensive clothes have a focal point of debate. Is it better to buy costly clothes instead of several cheaper dresses? In my perspective, Buy some expensive clothes is a positive way rather than cheaper due to several reasons. The key aspects influence on buying clothes will discuss in detail.

In the beginning, everyone go for a shopping to fullfil their needs Sometimes, a decision could be made complcative to purchase which one either expensive cloths or reasonable price clothes.First of all we should wear comfortable cloths without compare their prices.Nowadays, costly outfits are usually consider more comfortable because of their texture. The quality of luxurious apparel is quite good as well as cheaper apparel. On the other hand it must be available in diverse varieties. If your budget is relitively low to purchase clothes then you should select some premium-priced clothes instead of low priced lots of cloths.

Additionally, some premium clothes last for a long time. You can wear in multiple seasons. Because of their amazing quality. Although cheaper dresses can be used only in one season due to their low quality of fabric and stitching. For instance, There was a sale on at Anwar Shopping Mall flat 50% off on their premium clothes with the aim that people would attract more on their luxurious items that have low budget. Alot of people enjoyed their shoppings with a huge off.

At the end, It is more beneficial to purchase few expensive clothes instead of several cheapers in my view.A key factor is lasting and quality influence the people to buy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall preference for buying a few expensive clothes, and your reasons—comfort, quality and durability—are relevant to the question. The example of a sale at Anwar Shopping Mall also attempts to illustrate how premium clothing can become affordable. However, the position is not consistently explained: the opening says expensive clothes are preferable, but the discussion of comfort and variety does not clearly show why they support that choice. The sale example focuses more on attracting shoppers than on proving the benefits of buying fewer, better-quality items. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a specific personal example, and make the comparison with cheaper clothes more precise throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are broadly grouped by topic: comfort and choice first, then durability. Linking expressions such as “Additionally” and “For instance” help signal relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The shift from comfort to variety and then to budget is abrupt, while “Because of their amazing quality” is left as a fragment rather than connected smoothly to the preceding point. The conclusion repeats the preference but adds little synthesis. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to its supporting reason, and avoid relying on formulaic transitions where the logical link is not explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of clothing and purchasing vocabulary, including “premium-priced,” “texture,” “fabric,” “stitching” and “diverse varieties.” These choices show an attempt to discuss quality and durability rather than relying only on basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear: “purchase expensive clothes have a focal point,” “reasonable price clothes,” “cheapers,” and “enjoyed their shoppings” are not natural expressions. There are also repeated forms of “clothes” and “expensive.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “buying high-quality garments” and “clothes at a reasonable price,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If your budget is relatively low…” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence construction as well as longer structures. For example, “purchase expensive clothes have a focal point of debate” lacks a clear grammatical subject, and “everyone go” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. “Because of their amazing quality” is a sentence fragment, while missing sentence boundaries and inconsistent capitalisation—such as “debate. Is” and “In my perspective, Buy”—also affect accuracy. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, then check agreement, articles and punctuation.
