Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 8.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You provided the purchase details (date and reference number), described the specific problems with the clothing and accessories, and explained the urgency regarding the upcoming special occasion. The tone is appropriate for a formal complaint letter. To improve, you could provide slightly more detail regarding the 'special occasion' to make the urgency more persuasive, but overall, the task requirements are fully met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'I would also appreciate'. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally slightly mechanical. For instance, the transition between the description of the damaged items and the request for a replacement could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different stages of the letter, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use specific terms like 'dissatisfaction', 'reference number', and 'accessories'. There are some minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'few jewelry' (should be 'some jewelry' or 'a few pieces of jewelry') and 'the some accessories were damage' (should be 'damaged'). Despite these slips, the meaning is never obscured, and you demonstrate an ability to use topic-specific language effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the message is clear, there are several recurring grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a sunglasses', 'the fitting of trousers') and subject-verb agreement ('Order consist of', 'ring was not delivered'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and prepositional errors. While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for pluralization and article usage.
