Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all three bullet points of the task: providing purchase details, describing the sizing issue, and explaining the urgency of the replacement for a birthday event. The tone is appropriate for a formal complaint letter. The ideas are relevant and clearly communicated, though the development is somewhat basic. To reach a higher band, you could provide more specific details, such as an order number or a more formal description of the item, to make the request more professional and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'because', which help the flow of ideas. However, the transition between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical, and the use of punctuation (such as the comma before 'i' and the spacing around symbols) occasionally disrupts the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring consistent paragraph structure will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'replacement order' and 'assistance'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'birthday party dress' (instead of 'dress for my birthday party') and 'by checking i get to know' (instead of 'upon checking, I realized'). The range is somewhat limited; using more precise adjectives and formal business terminology would elevate the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include the inconsistent capitalization of 'i', the incorrect use of the apostrophe in 'it,s', and tense inconsistencies like 'i have order' (should be 'I ordered'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and standardizing your punctuation will significantly improve your accuracy.
