Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you identify the purchase as a stitched co-ord set ordered online on 24 October, explain that a single piece of cloth arrived instead, and request a replacement because you need the set for an event the day after tomorrow. The urgency is clear, and asking for a rider to collect the incorrect item is a relevant practical detail. This fully covers the main purpose of the letter, while some details could be clearer or more fully developed—for example, include an order number or explain what replacement you expect and how the company should confirm arrangements. The complaint is understandable, but a more measured, specific request would make it more effective.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The ideas follow a generally sensible order: you introduce the complaint, describe the purchase and delivery problem, then explain the urgency and request collection. This gives the letter an overall coherent arrangement. However, nearly all the content is placed in one long paragraph, and several ideas run together, particularly the description of the delivery and the request for a replacement. The repeated use of “and” and “because” makes connections feel mechanical, while “my order” is repeated without much variation. Separate the purchase details, problem, and requested action into clear paragraphs, and use punctuation or linking phrases to show how each point relates to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to a customer complaint, including “stitched co-ord set,” “replace my order,” “important event,” and “pickup the order.” These choices make the situation and requested action understandable. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “dispointed,” “nerver,” and “experince.” Some expressions are also unnatural or repetitive: “single piece of cloth piece” and “glitch and blunder like this before” do not describe the problem clearly or appropriately for a formal complaint. Aim for accurate, concise phrases such as “the wrong item was delivered” and “I have not experienced this issue before.” This would make your vocabulary more controlled and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine information in longer sentences, for example when describing the order, delivery, and inspection, and you use a few different structures to explain the problem and urgency. However, these complex sentences are often difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear punctuation. There are also errors in sentence boundaries and grammatical forms, as in “when the order delivered at my given address” and “Please make it possible for to send your rider.” Capitalisation is inconsistent after full stops, and the closing request contains several clauses that need clearer separation. Use shorter, complete sentences and check verb forms and sentence structure—for example, “When the order was delivered, I checked it and found that the wrong item had been sent.”
