Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, including both views and a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument for socializing is well-supported with a personal example, but the counter-argument regarding keeping work and life separate is underdeveloped, consisting of only one sentence. To reach a higher band, you should provide more depth and reasoning for the opposing view, perhaps discussing the need for mental detachment or the risk of office politics. The conclusion is present but brief. Overall, the task is addressed, but the balance between the two sides of the argument needs improvement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'On the other hand,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, the final sentence of the second paragraph is incomplete ('...good bonding with my'), which disrupts the flow and coherence of that section. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring all sentences are complete would enhance the overall structure and logical flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fast-paced world,' 'diverse backgrounds,' and 'productivity.' There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'results to attract' instead of 'results in attracting' and 'built a good bonding' instead of 'build a good bond.' While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations. Expanding your vocabulary to include more sophisticated synonyms and idiomatic expressions would help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as punctuation issues (e.g., unnecessary commas after 'that'), subject-verb agreement errors ('almost whole family is working'), and incomplete sentences. For instance, the sentence 'It only became possible because of my good bonding with my' is unfinished. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. To improve, focus on sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and pay closer attention to punctuation rules.
