Student answer (Band 7.0)
It is often argued about the people with whom we spend the quality time together. Some believe that socialising with coworkers during offhours and weekends is great. While others think personal and professional relations should be kept separate. This essay will discuss both views before my opinion.
On the one hand, spending free time with colleagues allow to know each other really well. Having a dinner together or participating in parties and events can really help to establish a smooth relation. This also improve the co-operation between team members in the professional setting. Consequently, it may result in improved efficiency and less employee turnover as office becomes less stressful. For instance, celebrating special occasions like birthdays and promotions can really improve the bond between employees as it shares some special personal events.
On the other hand, separating personal and professional life limits to overpower each other. In other words, it creates two different world without any relevance to each other. This preserve the privacy of both lives. For example, having connections from professional life in your personal life can create an impression that can affects lives.
In my opinion, it is good to spend some time with colleagues out of office however, there should be clear boundaries on how and what kind of information we share with them.
In conclusion, while socialising out of office hours help to create a good connection among employees resulting in greater teamwork, I believe a perfect work life balance only occurs when personal life is seperated from professional life. It also avoid the impacts of overpowering each others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of team bonding versus the need for privacy. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'overpowering each other' in the second body paragraph is vague and lacks a clear explanation or a concrete example to illustrate the point. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning with more specific details or real-world examples to ensure your arguments are fully developed and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In other words, it creates two different world without any relevance to each other.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second body paragraph where the connection between 'overpowering' and 'professional life' is not fully explained. Improving the flow between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'co-operation,' 'efficiency,' and 'turnover.' There are some instances of slightly unnatural word choices or minor errors, such as 'offhours' (off-hours) and 'seperated' (separated). While you attempt to use more sophisticated language, some phrases lack precision, such as 'limits to overpower each other.' To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and ensure that your vocabulary choices are consistently natural and appropriate for a formal essay. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'spending free time with colleagues allow to know' (allows us to know), 'This also improve' (improves), and 'can affects lives' (can affect lives). These errors do not significantly impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs and infinitives.
