Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding socialising with colleagues is vague, using phrases like 'colossal amount of time' and 'result became definitely prefect one' without clear explanation. The second body paragraph is more focused, but the conclusion is underdeveloped and does not clearly synthesise the arguments presented. The position is present but lacks the depth required for a higher band, as the reasoning remains somewhat superficial throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'As per my opinion, both the thoughts have multiple belief and disbelief accordingly'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the internal flow within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, which makes some sentences difficult to follow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'workaholic zone', 'representing to that firms', and 'multiple belief and disbelief'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the student struggles to use less common lexical items accurately. The repetition of basic structures and the misuse of certain terms prevent the essay from reaching a higher band in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'With considering facts by few of them that', 'if a person wants to know the nature of everybody who is representing to that firms', and 'that result became definitely prefect one'. Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent. While the errors do not completely obscure the meaning, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and demonstrate a lack of control over more complex grammatical forms.
