Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that socializing builds trust and improves productivity, the explanation remains quite general. The counter-argument regarding work-life balance is also brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning or specific real-world consequences. The conclusion is slightly repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. Ensure that each paragraph provides a deeper exploration of the topic to fully satisfy the requirements of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to link your thoughts. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the awkward transition in the conclusion: 'though... However'. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth flow due to grammatical errors. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects naturally to the next will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'productivity', 'work-life balance', and 'unforeseen circumstances'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'it can hampers ones personal life' (should be 'hinder') and 'meritorious side' (which is not the best fit for this context). To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form and appropriate context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('other argues', 'it strengthen', 'it can helps') and punctuation errors, such as the unnecessary comma after 'believe that,'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To achieve a higher score, you need to pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, particularly verb endings and subject-verb agreement, and aim for more error-free complex sentences.
