Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the potential for workplace conflict versus the benefit of stronger team bonds. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'unethical talks' is a good point, but it lacks a concrete example to fully support the claim. Similarly, the conclusion is quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points discussed. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph contains a more detailed explanation or a specific, illustrative example to fully flesh out the arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In addition to this.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'The first one is unusual conflicts.' Additionally, there are some issues with referencing and flow; for example, the transition between the idea of 'juniors or seniors' and the 'fear of losing job' is slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'professional,' 'unethical,' and 'colleagues.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'get socialise,' 'working chores,' and 'minor line.' Some spelling errors, such as 'personel' and 'incourage,' also occur. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary and better attention to spelling and collocation to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('Other's believe,' 'workers may not feel burden'), article usage ('at work places'), and sentence construction ('nobody they may lose the fear'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. The complexity of the sentences is limited, and the errors are noticeable throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common grammatical slips like pluralization and verb forms.
