Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that work and social circle should be segregated for personal reasons while others believe in socializing with the colleagues on weekend is beneficial. This essay is going to argue both the views. However, my idea is to separate work and life for a mental peace.
For the prior view, it is crucial to separate work-life from the social setting. the reason being that is friend circles has more impact on a mental health thus spending time with them should be memorable. For example, If someone had a hectic day at work, after sharing some time with friends and discussing it can provide an opinion that is different from the subordinates. Also, it can distract people from the stress of work day and have a wonderful memories of good time.
The latter view has an opinion of spending most of the time with colleagues over the remaining time as well. For instance, socializing with the team might have an advantages of team bonding and trust building . Not only it provides the inside of teams strengths but also it can assist in keeping work environment easy going. Moreover, people can make a good friends out of the colleagues.
To provide my point of view, I believe both the arguments had a valid points to believe either of them. Although from my point of view work-life and social should be apart for mental clearance. Also there are chances of getting exploited for that as well. for instance Let's say some one is working because of adverse financial situation, exposing to this kind of information a manager can take advantages of an employee and they had to suffer.
To Conclude, After considering all the factors my vote is in the prior opinion of keeping Work-life separate.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that socializing with colleagues can lead to 'team bonding,' the explanation remains superficial. Similarly, your argument for keeping work and life separate is clear, but the example regarding 'adverse financial situations' is slightly confusing and not fully connected to the main point of mental well-being. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with a clear, logical link to your main argument rather than just stating the idea.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'For the prior view,' 'The latter view,' and 'Moreover.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'For the prior view' or 'After considering all the factors my vote is in the prior opinion.' Additionally, some sentences lack smooth transitions, making the flow feel a bit disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the relationship between sentences is more natural and precise.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'segregated,' 'hectic,' and 'subordinates.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'mental clearance' instead of 'mental clarity,' 'make a good friends' (grammatical error), and 'inside of teams strengths.' The vocabulary is generally sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, try to learn common collocations and focus on using words in their correct context to avoid these minor inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, such as 'the reason being that is friend circles has more impact,' 'an advantages,' and 'exposing to this kind of information a manager can take advantages.' These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent communication. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. Proofreading for these basic grammatical slips will significantly improve your score.
