Student answer (Band 6.0)
Few people think that it's good idea to socialise with colleges after work in evening or on weekend, other believe that it is vital to keep work life and social life different. we will discuss both the views in the following paragraphs.
I believe it's good idea to socialise with the people you work. Nowadays, Due to advancement in technology people have become less active and have isolated themselves and hence are suffering from mental illnesses like depression, anxiety etc. Due to this reason, it is a necessary that people should go out and interact with people and keep them self active. Furthermore, by socializing and getting to know different people, you learn their perspective and opinion which in-turn help you to resolve the similar issue or problem. For Instance, our team plans office dinner on every Friday, where one on my senior shared about the issue she faced with her daughter few days back and which gave other colleague a different way in which they can deal with their childrens.
On the other hand, some think that work should be kept separate from personal life. People believe that they should keep their life private because of numerous reasons. Many Individual still believe about evil eye I.e something bad will happen if they tell share good about their life. Additionally, people are socially very conscious, in a way they fear about being judge and hence decide to keep their life separate.
In Conclusion, I believe you should be socially active, so that you are not isolated and suffer from mental illness Additionally, you should be in touch with your colleagues in-order to know them and learn about their perspective.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of social interaction for mental health and the desire for privacy due to social judgment. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the 'evil eye' is a bit tangential and lacks a strong connection to the core debate of work-life balance. While the position is clear, some points could be more thoroughly extended with more logical depth to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but the depth of analysis is limited.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'In Conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, though some transitions between sentences within paragraphs feel abrupt. The progression of ideas is logical, but the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better integration of supporting examples.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'advancement', 'isolated', and 'perspective'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'keep them self active' instead of 'keep themselves active' and 'one on my senior' instead of 'one of my seniors'. Spelling errors like 'colleges' (instead of 'colleagues') and 'childrens' (instead of 'children') also occur. The range is sufficient for communication but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with articles ('a good idea'), subject-verb agreement, and pluralization. For example, 'it is a necessary that people should go out' is grammatically incorrect. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is needed.
