Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that socialization with colleagues is good choice.
While others believe that social life should be completely separate from work life. This will discuss both viewpoints before explaining why I believe that it is important to keep working life completely separate from social life.
On the one hand, some people believe that it is a good idea to socialise with work colleagues during evenings and weekends.
One of the main reasons is that it helps to create a strong bond between coworkers as it will assist them to work as a team during workloads.
This is primarily because get together improves friendship and trust among them.
A good illustration of this can be seen at a place where best friends working together as they support and help each other during extra work at workplace.
Consequently, when they work together and trust each other make positive impact on their daily life.
On the other hand, many people argue that there should be a difference between work and after work life.
The main reason is that it disturbs professionalism of work as they can make mistakes while working. This is because they can rely on their friends and leave their own responsibilities on each other. that cause negative impact on work environment.
A clear example of this is that friends often hide the blunders of their companion, that can lead to risk for company in future.
However I believe that work life and social life should not be at a same page.
In conclusion, Although both statements have their own merits. I think that work life should be very professional because hangouts with colleagues can cause adverse effect on company.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both viewpoints and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'professionalism' is a good point, but it could be expanded with more specific examples of how social dynamics interfere with workplace accountability. The essay is slightly repetitive in its structure, and the conclusion is quite brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the implications of the arguments presented, rather than just stating the reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the discussion of friendship and the impact on daily life. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'work', 'life', and 'colleagues'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'professionalism', 'blunders', and 'adverse effect', the overall lexical range is somewhat restricted. To improve, the student should focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and collocations, such as 'maintaining professional boundaries' instead of 'difference between work and after work life'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include missing articles ('at a place where best friends working together'), subject-verb agreement issues ('when they work together and trust each other make positive impact'), and punctuation errors (sentence fragments like 'While others believe that social life should be completely separate from work life.'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the flow, though the meaning remains clear. A greater focus on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors is necessary.
