Student answer (Band 6.0)

Now a some people believes that we should maintain freindship and worklife together with our co workers and enjoy with them after the work on weekends or evenings. Whereas, some people have a different viewpoint like we should keep our working life away from our personal life. In this essay we will discuss both of the aspects and at the end i will give my opinion.

To open with the first point that we can enjoy the weekend and parties with our co workers which is beleived by some of the individuals, which is true i is not mandatory to stay in the work form with the employees in your office after the work. people should join their office workers after the work like on birthdays etc. for example - in my work everyone have good relation with each other like after the job ,they enjoy being with each other at parties and weekends which increased the bonding between each and every employee in my office.

however, some of the people believe that we should maintain the difrrence between our worklife and social life. this is because some people thinks that extra meetings after work with our workmates will reduce the efficiency at the work and also it can affect the work styles or sometimes people have some kind beefs with each other due to freindships. for instance, my crew member one fought with my supervisor at the party and it affects the work everytime they work together at shift. Thats why we should keep our work and social life seprate.

In conclusion , both the point have some of the merits and demerits . But i will go with the foremost point that we should maintain our social life with our workmates or team members rather than keeping it seprately . because it helps us to understand everyone and how to co-operate with each other. this is the reason i will go with the people who maintain their life and work together.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the negative impact of socializing is supported by a single, informal example about a 'fight' at a party, which lacks depth. While the position is consistent, the explanation of why socializing improves cooperation remains superficial. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the underlying reasons for your views, such as discussing the psychological benefits of workplace bonding or the professional risks of blurred boundaries in more detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. Phrases like 'To open with' and 'In conclusion' are used, but the internal flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits of socializing and the drawbacks is abrupt. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'this' to refer to broad concepts without a clear antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors, such as 'freindship', 'difrrence', and 'seprate', which occur frequently. The word choice is often informal or imprecise, such as using 'beefs' to describe interpersonal conflict, which is inappropriate for an academic essay. While you are able to communicate your ideas clearly, the range of vocabulary is limited to common, everyday language. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of key terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('some people believes', 'everyone have'), article usage, and punctuation errors, such as the inconsistent use of commas and spaces after punctuation. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly subject-verb agreement and consistent punctuation, to ensure your writing is more professional and error-free.
