Student answer (Band 6.0)
Socialising in today’s era is considered as an essential element to create a good balance between your work colleagues. The majority of people considered this as an important aspect, other halves just like to keep it separate from their personal life. I believe having a balance between both personal and professional life will be considered as a good idea. My essay further explain both the views with some relevant examples, following my review at the end.
To begin with, meeting people out of office hours especially on weekends or holidays allows employees to create healthy relationships amongst them, by sharing their useful thoughts either about work or personal problems. For instance, gathering at public attractions such as cafes, restaurants and having some fun activities allow workers to share their thoughts and believes. Additionally this activities helps new joiners to avoid discomfort and help to know better regarding office atmosphere. Furthermore, this types of meetings emphasis to create better coordination, enhance communication and skills that helps any introvert person to overcome its fear.
On the other hand, few office’s employees like to spend there holidays and weekends with their loved ones such as friends, families and relatives. However, long working hours for office completely exhausted the human body, because of that few people like to just rest on weekends or holidays to get their body in shape. Spending time with your family removes the communication barriers which strengthen their relationship. For example, children studying at school only have off on Sunday. Parents can invest in their time on holiday helps to improve the upbringing.
From my perspective, it is vital to balance both the personal and professional life. Weekends must be spent with family members, however individuals sometimes have to go outside with office employees as this helps them to know them better as a person after corporate life.
To conclude, socialising is important. Spending time with office friends are essential but one should not forget to spend their time with their loved ones

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of team bonding versus the need for personal rest. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of why socialising helps introverts is brief, and the argument regarding family time could be more deeply explored. The position is consistent throughout, but the essay would benefit from more detailed examples to reach a higher band. The introduction is a bit repetitive, and the conclusion is slightly abrupt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organised into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Additionally', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'following my review at the end' in the introduction. Referencing is generally clear, although there are occasional lapses in flow between sentences. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall progression of ideas is easy to follow, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'corporate life' and 'communication barriers', but there are also instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'other halves' instead of 'others' and 'believes' instead of 'beliefs'. Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'get their body in shape' in the context of resting. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score to a 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('this activities helps', 'this types of meetings emphasis') and pronoun usage ('spend there holidays'). There are also issues with article usage and prepositions. While the writer attempts complex sentences, these often contain errors that distract the reader. The control of grammar is sufficient for a Band 5.5, but given the overall clarity and the attempt at a variety of structures, it sits at the lower end of Band 6.
