Student answer (Band 5.5)

Most of individuals say that it is a good way to socialize with work colleagues during weekends and evenings. As compare to others perspective they think that keep working and social like separately. I agree both the statements which I mentioned in this statement because both have different views.

To begin with, firstly we talk about why people think socialize with colleagues is a best way to. To explain it, due to this if we socialize with our colleagues it helps to make a good bond between colleagues and team members. Sometimes most people do not share their feelings with others this is the best time to know about each others . For example, if we socialize with colleagues we learn about something different like someone have an experience in news, someone have a good communication skills so we learn different.

On the other hand, I totally agree with this statement if need to separate our working and social life with colleagues. To elaborate it, sometimes if we share our social life with work colleagues it put bad impact on our job sometimes we face lot of issues in our daily like if we share something about personal life so they can judge according to that perspective. For example, most of artists and influencer do not like to share their personal life with audience due to privacy because they keep their personal life happy and enjoyable.

Overall, I think both statement are best according to the situation but according to me i am agree with second statement we need to keep privacy and do not share personal life with colleagues.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that socializing helps build bonds, the explanation is repetitive and lacks depth. Similarly, the argument for keeping work and social life separate is supported by a rather weak example regarding 'artists and influencers,' which does not directly relate to the average workplace environment. To improve, ensure that your supporting points are more logically connected to the prompt and provide more substantial, relevant examples to demonstrate your reasoning more effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'As compare to others perspective' and 'To explain it' are used in a way that feels unnatural. Additionally, the transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally, and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and less repetitive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'Most of individuals' instead of 'Most individuals' and 'socialize with work colleagues is a best way to' (which is grammatically incomplete). You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with correct collocations. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to professional boundaries and workplace dynamics, and pay closer attention to word forms and standard English collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('someone have an experience'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence construction ('I agree both the statements which I mentioned in this statement'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear, although they do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency.
